Pond Sealant

Soilfloc® Sealant is the best polymer based sealant available for your canal, irrigation ditch or watering hole. Specifically designed to find leaks, whether in the floor, the wall or through rock formations and seal them. Soilfloc® custom blends linear and cross-linked polymers to seal any type of soil, for any sized project.

Muck Remover
The biological removal of muck and sludge from ponds, lakes and canals is an ecological way to eliminate organic sediments from ruining shorelines and making swimming impossible. Safe muck eating bacteria are blended from anaerobic bacterial mixtures and enzymes that specifically target the thick, black, stinky muck that is common in ponds and lakes.

Dock Bubblers
Bubbler systems use perforated tubing placed at the bottom of the water around a boathouse, dock or wall. When using diffuser lines to protect your dock from ice damage there will be some fairly common installation procedures: place the air compressor in a ventilated cabinet or shed and run an airline to the structure where a weighted bubbler hose is placed at strategic points around the dock or against the wall.

Where can we buy PondKeeper products?

For 8 years we have used the pond keeper blue lake dye and this year our provider went out business. We buy a large quantity each year so we would like to contact the manufacturer but have been unable to find contact info to do so. After reading your forum it seems like maybe you could help us get in contact with them. It would be greatly appreciated! Let us know if you could be of any help! Thank you!

There was a bacteria blend for algae and muck control we used as well and added 100 pounds per year in our ponds. Is there something else we can use to have the same great results we had with the PondKeeper products?
Thanks very much.  The pond’s looking good this year and I think the Pond Keeper works well, especially when I begin it early in the season.  Our pond’s 3 years old now and we have some plants growing up from the bottom and reaching the surface in some spots, which we’ve been pulling out by hand.
The pouches of pondkeeper with barley straw are a good product, we have lots of clients who use it. Once aeration is in your pond you can start with a 5 pound shock of the pondkeeper with barley extract and then go to 2 to 4 pounds per month.

The other products you mentioned also work well. You could get the aeration system working and see how the pond reacts before adding any bacterial products if you wish. Otherwise the pondkeeper packets with the barley extract are great for getting things going right away and will help reduce organic muck accumulation as well.

I personally liked to use the liquid as well as I feel it mixes in my pond a bit better than the dry but with the dry bacteria I would pre-mix with some water before applying.

With the liquid I dump a gallon over my aeration bubbles over the diffuser and the liquid goes everywhere. I use the dry for the maintenance during the season and add maintenance doses as required. I use the liquid pondkeeper for semi-annual treatments just to give a big boost to my pond as I can’t stand green water!

If you have any advice regarding weeds, let me know! I would like to keep using the PondKeeper product if they still make it!

The PondKeeper line of products has been discontinued. It is very unfortunate because we had been selling the Pond Dye, Bacteria for Pond Bacteria and Muck Control and the Septic Bacteria by Pon Keeper.

Sadly they manufacturer has ceased ooperation but there are some alternatives that we can recommend to the PondKeeper product line. The manufactureres of these pond products often share similar recipes based on functioning blends of safe and natural bacteria and colorants that work within ponds in North America.

For our clients who have been using the PondKeeper 8 oz Soluble Packets for QAlgae and Muck Control we have the Pond-Vive dry bacteria:http://www.thepondreport.com/store/pond-vive-usa

For a replacement for the disconiued PondKeeper Pond Dye we have a dry WSP (water soluble packet) available in multiple colors: http://www.thepondreport.com/store/dye/pond-dye-wsp-usa

We have served many Home Owners Associations across the USA for many years with the PondKeeper pond products and have had many clients ask us where to buy PondKeeper pond products and the best we can do, after the manufacturer has ceased all operations is to ask you to see our new recommended products here: http://www.thepondreport.com/store/pond-bacteria

The PondKeeper brand of pond products is no longer being produced. The manufacturer and main distributor of the products has ceased operations. Dallas-based Natural Environmental Systems, LLC had been offering a wide variety of pond, lake and wastewater treatments and we had been using them with much success for many years.

We now carry products for ponds and lakes that perform similar functions to the PondKeep family of clarifiers and beneficial bacteria, including the popular dry powdered formula that can be tossed into the pond for easy applications.
