SweetWater® Regenerative Blowers

Regerative blowers are well-known as an energy-efficient and quiet way to provide oil-free air at high volumes. The Sweetwater® regenerative blowers can reach higher pressures and surpass the  efficiency  and functionality of most commercial air blowers even in the most corrosive of atmospheric conditions.

The blowers come with air-intake filter kits and outlet hoses as well as a 6' power cord. They have a 3-year warranty.

Characteristics

1. Automatic thermal overload protection: if a power brownout trips the motor the blower will automatically restart after cooling.
2. We ship all blowers with a low-restriction filter that removes particulate to 50 microns
3. Blower is constructed using antiseize compunds to enable easy disassembly if it becomes necessary.
4. Motors runs cool, is fan cooled, and is completely enclosed providing reliability in humid conditions. Units are 230 Volts 60Hz and are UL-. CSA- and CE listed and compliant.
5. The flexible outlet hose makes integrating into existing plumbing a breeze.


The Regenerative Blower
The regenerative blower has only one moving part: the dynamically balanced impeller affixed directly to the motor shaft. There is no contact as the impeller rotates, so there’s no vibration, no wear, no seals and no need for any lubrication. An aluminium housing, impeller, and cover mean all major components have an inherently improved corrosion resistance, promoting extended product life.

Higher altitude above sea-level will affect blower air volume output performance; deduct 4% of volume and pressure for every 1,000’ (300 m) above sea level. The motors used on these regenerative blowers require about ten seconds to reach their full speed which is 3,450-rpm.

For power requirements use the listed starting watts to size generators and use the listed full load amps to size breakers.


Motors
These regenerative blowers are all equipped with UL-, CSA- and CE-compliant, direct-drive, TEFC motors (except 5HP model SWS651-B which is an ODP motor) feature permanently sealed ball bearings for increased protection against  dirt and moisture or the rigours of the humid aquaculture environment.
